She states "this is the corporate office. I ask for the corporate office phone number. So, I request to speak to her boss, and she stated, "I'm the only one here.". I'm very frustrated at this point in the call and ask for a manager to which she claimed she is the manager. She stated that the transaction was approved. After going back and forth, she refused to email me any information regarding the transaction.
She informed me of the typical response."call your banking institution". Kisha agreed that the ATMs inside of Walmart are always having problems, but the machine belongs to Walmart. I checked my bank account and saw that it withdrew the $200 (pending transaction). The machine did not issue my card back nor did it dispense the $200. After inserting my card and selecting to withdraw $200, the machine paused for 45 to 60 seconds and went back to the welcome screen. Today July 2, 2022, 12:35pm, I tried to use an ATM within a Walmart location in Glendale, AZ 85303. MetaBank must discontinue its use of deceptive patterns and practices with the intent and sole purpose to deceive and defraud. A complaint was filed with the US Office of the Inspector General and the Ok Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. This is the last four (4) ********0385 of the account it was posted to. There is a TRACE number issued by the Oklahoma Tax Commission #7991534. I am DEMANDING that MetaBank immediately RELEASE and REFUND to me funds purposefully and unlawfully accepted and concealed by you for purposes of deception.
This is the norm for MetaBank but the buck stops here. MetaBank was malicious in its actions to receive and attempt to conceal for use by MetaBank funds intended for another person. MetaBank has in the past and continues to operate outside of the law and not in the best interest of the consumer. Instead MetaBank purposefully and willfully with the intent to commit fraud by deception accepted the funds as if the account was open and in use. MetaBank didn't reject the funds due to the account being closed. My name is Sean Baker in May of 2022 the Oklahoma Tax Commission sent money to MetaBank on an account that has been closed for 6 years.
